Saber Kids and Saber Study (don't need)

Procedures, Protocols, and Schedule

Saber Kids

After engaging with the same group of students for the school day, lower school students attending Saber Kids will soon be joining a new cohort.  Prior to delivering students to Saber Kids, teachers will check the temperatures of all remaining students.  Students with a fever of above 100 degrees, will not be permitted to participate and should go home until the fever returns to normal without medication for 24 hours.  After dismissal, all remaining students will be delivered to their corresponding Saber Kids cohort by their homeroom teacher.

  • Cohort 1 - Pre-K and Kindergarten students will meet in an early childhood classroom in Founder’s Hall

  • Cohort 2 - 1st and 2nd grade students will meet on the playground

  • Cohort 3 - 3rd and 4th grade students will meet on the multi-purpose field.

Saber Kids teachers will check-in and check-out students using school provided iPads. Following check-in, students will be given an individually packaged snack. Saber Kids will follow the schedule outlined below.

Cohort 2 Classroom - LGI
Cohort 3 Classroom - Lower level classroom in Fuentez Hall

In the event of rain or inclement weather that prevents students from going outside, each cohort will report to their classroom for active games and/or a movie.

Parents should drive into the front circle drive, remain in their vehicle upon arrival, and call the front desk.  The front desk attendant will summon the student(s).  Lower school students will exit the front doors.

Saber Study
Similarly to lower school students, all middle school students remaining on campus after dismissal must have their temperatures checked before being dismissed from the classroom.  Students with a fever of above 100 degrees, will not be permitted to participate and should go home until the fever returns to normal without medication for 24 hours.  Those attending Saber Study should check-in with after school personnel on the main floor of Fuentez Hall.  Students should maintain social distancing practices at all times.

Parents should drive onto Saber Way, behind the campus where middle school students are typically dropped off and picked up.  Parents should remain in their vehicles and call their child directly or call the front desk to have their child summoned.
